The purchase of your wedding ring is a very special purchase indeed and something not to be taken lightly. There’s so much that goes into the final decision. The colour of the metal, the fit and how it feels when you wear it, are just some of the factors that need to be considered when shopping for this special piece.
Although the journey you find yourself on when purchasing a ring is an exciting one, for some it can be a little daunting…and we understand why. There’s so much more to consider than just the ring and with over 75 years of expertise, we’ve put together an in-depth guide to help you find the perfect wedding rings for you and your loved one.

STEP 1
First, we want to pick the metal for your ring.
This accounts for the colour and how durable your ring will be.
Gold and platinum have always been front runners but the emergence of alternative metals have taken the trade by storm with materials like tungsten carbide and titanium gaining popularity.

STEP 2
Next, we want to pick the profile for your ring.
The profile is the shape of the ring and will determine both the look of the ring and the comfort.
There are many profiles of ring but the most popular are court, ‘D’ shape and flat court.

STEP 3
Once we know the profile that is right for you we want to pick the width of the ring.
The width of a ring is important and refers to how much length of the finger will be covered by the ring when worn. For some ring designs and styles, there may be factors that ultimately impact the width of the ring such as stone setting or patterns. We want your ring to last a lifetime, so we work with you to find the width that best suits you and most importantly will be comfortable, most of our rings start at 2mm and can be made up to 7mm or larger.
STEP 4
We always find ourselves looking at the extras available to us and this is no different with wedding rings.
Whether you want a particular pattern, a certain finish or you’re looking for diamonds to be set into your ring this is something we can help you with. We have lots of designs ready made to choose from or we can make unique designs especially for you.
If you prefer your personalised touches to be more discrete, you can have your chosen message applied to the inside of your wedding ring instead. Common choices for personal inscriptions include your wedding date, initials, nicknames, or a small message to each other. Keep in mind, however, that space is limited inside your ring so we would need to make sure messages are kept short.

STEP 5
Finally, choose what you love. There are plenty of options and lots of advice out there but it is important that you pick something that you truly love as hopefully you’ll be wearing it for the rest of your life!
